Techno-cultural fest at Saintgits College

Kottayam: Nakshatra 2012, a techno-cultural festival, will be held at the Saintgits College of Engineering on March 15 and 16. Actor Siddharth Bharathan will inaugurate the event.

Speaking at a press conference, college principal M.C. Philipose said the festival is being organised on the theme of the Egyptian culture. Many events will be conducted in celebration of the richness of the culture. According to the organisers, nearly 1800 students from about 175 engineering colleges in South India are expected to participate in the various contests.
The technical skills and professionalism of participants will be scrutinised during the Best Engineer competition.

In addition, events including Robotics, Concept Presentation and Shell Scripting have been designed in such a way that they analyse the capabilities and competency of students. Other events such as Mr. and Miss Nakshatra, Best Singer, Best Artist and Rock band will also be conducted as part of the two-day event.
