Kothamangalam college to stage 然obo wars'

Kochi: A National Robo Congress (Narcon) will be held on February 27 and 28 at Mar Athanasius College of Engineering, Kothamangalam, in association with Swadeshi Science Movement.

Prahlad Vadakkeppat, senior professor from the National University of Singapore and a leading scientist in the field, will address the robotics congress.
然obo wars' will be a highlight of the first such congress. Demonstrations of aqua robots and dirt races would be the other features of the congress that is being held as part of the golden jubilee celebrations of MA College of Engineering.

A project exhibition would have on display working models from various leading institutions in the country. Chennai-based Robotix Research Academy would be funding the most socially viable model up to a sum of Rs. 15 lakh. Narcon aims at improving robotics in the country at developing social robots that would help society in general, bring in rural empowerment and prove useful in machinery and electronics industry. The congress is trying to create a revolution by strengthening the robotics backbone of the country, said Madhav Sankar, co-ordinator of Narcon.
