IIM-K holding contest for young women

Kozhikode: The Indian Institute of Management, Kozhikode (IIM-K), is organising a young women achiever contest for college students as a run-up to the February 26 ‘Thantedam' Calicut Mini Marathon organised by it, in association with the Social Welfare Department.

The contest aims to identify and recognise the achievements of women students across undergraduate colleges in the district based on their overall excellence, including academic proficiency, extracurricular skills, and contribution to society.
The third edition of the mini marathon, with its theme “Empowering her future,” aims to highlight issues such as poor workforce participation of women, domestic violence, customary dowry practices, and security concerns faced by today's women, and hence the contest assumes relevance, the organisers say.

The contest, they say, will be held in three stages.
